Did I understand you correctly:

1) You applied instructions http://www.trichview.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=70 to make Unicode editor
2) After that, Chinese text was displayed and edited correctly
3) The problem is in displaying some characters on some device. What is this "additive device"?

i am sorry  "additive device" is wrong code. my meaning is if when input punctuation mark(like:",。?!") at runnig time, it only demonstrates:■■,and If by now I hit the RichViewEdit ,it will appear :"Invalid caret position please contact the developer,if you can reproduce this problem" this error.
ps:other Chinese text was displayed and edited correctly.
how can i Solves it ?
thank you for your help~

Since I do not know Chinese, I need very detailed instructions to reproduce this problem.
What keyboard layout/IME should I use?
What key should I press to enter this punctuation mark?

May I suggest that you update to win XP, home version at least. Window 98 does not have an IME, which is a very useful tool for entering any Unicode. I can only cut and paste using my application under window 98. But under XP, I can enter characters directly from keyboard. With limited testing, I did not find any problem with the cut-and-paste under 98.

Only trying to help.

I'll try to reproduce this problem this weekend, but I am afraid it will be difficult because I do not have Chinese Win9x.
