It's time to revive this project - roadmap

Post by Sergey Tkachenko »

After a long delay, RVMedia components are ready for an open beta testing.

We updated the online help: http://www.trichview.com/help-media/
Now it includes new components: media server, microphone, microphone viewer.

In the next few days, we will upload compiled demo projects.
There are 3 groups of projects:
1. receiving video from IP and USB cameras, management of IP cameras, controlling movement, recording and processing video
2. video and audio between applications connected directly to each other via the network
3. video and audio between application connected via a special server application: several versions of video chats/video conference applications

After some (I hope not too long) period of exe-demo testing, we will make a trial available and start sales (with a discount for first customers).
The first version will be released for VCL for Win32, for Delphi from 6 to XE5.
Soon after that, a support of 64-bit VCL (Delphi XE2-XE5), and a version for FreePascal/Lazarus (Windows, Linux and WinCE) will be added.

The compiled demos are uploaded. You can download all compiled demos as a single file, or download some demos separately.

We are very interested in your feedback.
Please post messages in this topic or feel free to create new topics in this forum.

The next step is uploading a trial version of VCL components. If you want to test it sooner, please contact me (richviewgmailcom), we will send a trial version to you directly. Please specify your version of Delphi or C++Builder when requesting a trial version.

Andriod is planned, but not in very near future.
Currently we are optimizing video receiving (to make receiving, decoding and displaying in separate threads), then FreePascal (windows and linux), then FM.
