Coming soon: a new set of VCL components allowing to display, manage and control IP cameras and USB web cams. Additionally, it includes components for sending and receiving videos via the Internet.
You can find the overview and documentation here: http://www.trichview.com/help-media/
This product is not linked to TRichView or ScaleRichView, it can be used separately. In future, we plan to implement new components that will use TRichView + RVMedia to create a chat (both text and video-chat) almost without programming.
Demos will be available in a week. Trial versions will be available later. The components will be not free, but not too expensive.

Ok, it took more time than expected.
First, we decided that a video chat without sound is useless, so we implemented a new component for sending sound from a microphone.
Next, we found that the algorithm for calculating changed fragments was just bad, and reimplemented it from the scratch.
Next, we need to optimize video sending and receiving. And so on...
But now, a beta version is close to the completion, including help and demo projects. We plan to make it publicly available in the next week.

Well, as you can see, we froze this project for some time. But it is not abandoned and it will be released soon after we release TRichView 14.
It will include more features than described in the announce. Initially we planned support of IP and Web-cameras + components to send and receive video via the network.
The actual release will complete all necessary features to create a video chat, both server and clients, with user management, transfer of video, audio, text and files.
Also, we plan to make it compatible with Lazarus (at least with Windows platform, but probably in some others too).
