Richview or RichViewEdit to Excel with formatting?

Hi all,
I'm writing an application where the user types and formats text, which must then be sent to excel.
The problem is I'm unable to keep the formatting of the text. I've tried using the clipboard to copy the text but excel won't keep the formatting.
Any ideas?
