WebCam (DirectShow) duplicated DeviceName

Post by panlab_mf »

Hi,

Why the list of VideoDevices (VideoDevices.VideoDeviceList) shows the webcams duplicated? Any other software doesn't do like that. They enumerate the devices adding a number to identify them easily.

Is there a why to achieve that. I'm using v8.1 of RVMedia for Win64.

Thanks,

Sorry, I cannot see a duplication on your screenshot.
8 video sources in RVMedia, 8 video sources in VLC.

As I can see, you have two devices named "Logitec HD Webcam C310".
RVMedia displays their names as they are, while VLC adds to one of them "#1", and VirtualDub2 adds "#2".
You can do the same - search for duplicate names and add a number to them when displaying to the user.
