Error with SRICHVIEW

Post by Ceprotec »

Hi Sergey!

I'm having trouble running the application with the SRICHVIEW on other machines. I compiled my file and installed it on 4 machines. Worked in two and two gave error. This problem may be due to lack of any "dll"? Appeared in a 'Capability not supported' and other 'Printer selected is not valid' when I open the SRICHVIEW. Any idea what could be?

Does this error happen in the ActionTest demo with ScaleRichView?

Do not know why this happens on machines where there is no Delphi installed, there is no way I see where the error happens, but from what I understand is when you will always carry the SRICHVIEW and its components as the rest of the application it has not involve working.

TSRichViewEdit does not use printer unless you call its methods for printing. So, if the error occurs when the application starts, it's probably not because of TSRichViewEdit.

the error "Printer selected is not valid 'I solve it was because there was no printer installed on that computer.

But the error "Capability not supported 'keeps popping up on a machine with Windows XP. I program in a WIndows 7, there may be some connection?

Following happens: whenever you open the form in which it is inserted TSRICHVIEWEDIT appears the error 'Capability not supported' then I tap 'OK' and the program follows the tsrichviewedit opens, runs all the properties, but then closes and opens again when the back error.

What do you think you can be?

TSRichViewEdit must work even if no printer is installed.

Does this application use BDE?
I googled "Capability not supported", it seems to be related to Paradox and BDE.

It was like I thought I will give a search. but precisely the problem only occurs when you open the tsrichviewedit.

But thank you. even more. Hug :)
